PORT OF CALL
"Not everyone accepts their fate."
Port of Call was my first major push into the indie game market. Initially, it was just a college capstone project put together by five friends in the span of four months. Our name, Underdog Games, reflected the kind of mindset we had at the time: creators of this weird, short narrative game that was suddenly a frontrunner in the E3 2014 College Game competition, up against games with years of work and teams many times bigger than ours. We would eventually walk away as a runner-up in the competition, using the momentum to successfully launch the game on Steam to great critical success, which would in turn launch many of our careers into the world of AAA game development.
